Holy cow man I had an excellent workout tonight after working out yesterday and speed work. Today I just decided to do a good tempo run and it was. I did a 10.5 mile tempo run on a hilly course going up by Tuacahn and Snow Canyon Park. I thought I could be like Ryan Hall ha ha and felt like it doing a 10 mile tempo. I kept a 6:00 mile pace for 10.5 with a mild wind. Not bad.  My dad paced me along with his bike but i out ran him most of the time. I finished really really strong and am running really strong these days. Carl Wilcox better watch out ha ha. I brought a couple of miles down under 5 minutes, down hill but it felt good. I ran at about 7:00pm so it was dark but it got hot so I took off my shirt. Only in STG, thats right ha ha. Oh yea a 1 mile cool down too.

Your an Animal! Keep up the hard work. You are such a great runner and your potential is unlimited. You want to be as good as Ryan Hall? Why not better!(Serious)

Yeah! you're back to blogging. I noticed you posted something yesterday. I think just staying consistent is the key at your age, well actually probably at any age. Be sure, you work a few recovery days into your training. I know sometimes younger runs like to train hard day after day. This is pretty cool having a blog to track your training. I wish would have had something like this back when I was your age. I still have all my old running logs, just in notebooks so maybe some day I will have to spend some time and input all that data, just so I can have it on the computer.

Dustin makes a very good point - look at what your overall goals are Hayden (state!) and work toward those. You are in good shape and you feel like you need to go fast, but be careful. Most of your miles should be easy pace (7:00) with about 10% at Tempo (6:00'ish) and maybe 5% with intervals (which I would say you probably shouldn't even be doing yet). Keep up the good work.
