I think I was finally feeling better from that flue. I went out this morning around 5:30 and went over to the high school track. Started with a 1 mile warmup then ran a cycle workout on the track 1200-800-600-400 ran them at 1200-3:34 could of broke 4:40 mile with a decent 4th lap. 800-2:24 600-1:40 and 400-1:06. It was all pretty decent from being sick and fatigued. Did a 2 mile cool down.

After School today did a 1 mile warm up and then ran an easy 5 miles with some friends. I ran that pretty slow because there not really runners so I decided to do 4 more at tempo pace ran the 1st mile at 6:04 pace 2nd 6:07 pace 3rd 6:07 pace and 4th 6:04 pace it was a pretty good run after doing track work in the morning. I think I am improving well and overcoming my illness. Ill try to hit around 60 this week.

Every morning in Africa, a gazelle wakes up.
It knows it must outrun the fastest lion or it will be killed.
Every morning in
Africa, a lion wakes up.
It knows that it must run faster than the slowest gazelle, or it will starve.
It doesn't matter whether you're a lion or a gazelle
when the sun comes up you'd better be running.
(But, unless you're a runner, you won't understand.)

I like the quotes. Good track workouts- just be careful to not get injured when working with speed and tempo stuff.

I won't be hitting 120 this week. I'll start to taper off so I can be fresh for the race this weekend.

Keep up the good work!

Hayden I love that quote!!!!! It's one of my favorites.

Hopefully I will be better soon. I don't want you to lap me to many times at Hurricane.

Keep up the good work.
