AM: went over to track for first real speedworkout in awhile. Ran a 1 mile warm up, was tight but stretched and was ready to run. Did 2X800, 2X600, 1X400. I actually felt really good and it was a good workout. Hopefully the speed will get me back. Did a 1 mile cool down.

Once you're beat mentally, you might as well not even go to the starting line.
--Todd Williams

PM: 6.5 mile run with mom on her bike. Fairly good pace. Felt good.

PM: Later on tonigh ran same 6 miles as yesterday, whith brother on his bike. Felt okay, but a little fatigued. Also go info for Ragnar and on the Blue Team and really excited to run the race and have a great experience. The speed work feels like it is helping a little too, but making legs a little fatigued. AM: today was a good day and a bad day. I ran my 2 mile and did a good job for coming back. I had a good race, but got passed by 4 people at the end, which made me mad. It was okay though except my quad started hurting again. After i went on a 3 mile cool down with Jonathon of Timpview and some Mountain View kid. My quad was irritating me, but i thought jogging would loosen it up. After i took a good long nap. Now it was time for the mile, i was ready and excited. Except when i got to go run, i did some striders and could hardly run on the right leg. My quad had tightened up and it was not doing to well. I decided not to run the race so i could be better for region and state. This is bummer and is killing my season. I am very dissapointed and now i need to get my mental part back. Injuries suck, thats all i have to say. I guess i'll have to tough it out the remainder of the two weeks, till i can get a break to rest up.

This was a meet to remember though, with so many state and meet records broke.
