I think I was finally feeling better from that flue. I went out this morning around 5:30 and went over to the high school track. Started with a 1 mile warmup then ran a cycle workout on the track 1200-800-600-400 ran them at 1200-3:34 could of broke 4:40 mile with a decent 4th lap. 800-2:24 600-1:40 and 400-1:06. It was all pretty decent from being sick and fatigued. Did a 2 mile cool down.

After School today did a 1 mile warm up and then ran an easy 5 miles with some friends. I ran that pretty slow because there not really runners so I decided to do 4 more at tempo pace ran the 1st mile at 6:04 pace 2nd 6:07 pace 3rd 6:07 pace and 4th 6:04 pace it was a pretty good run after doing track work in the morning. I think I am improving well and overcoming my illness. Ill try to hit around 60 this week.

Every morning in Africa, a gazelle wakes up.
It knows it must outrun the fastest lion or it will be killed.
Every morning in
Africa, a lion wakes up.
It knows that it must run faster than the slowest gazelle, or it will starve.
It doesn't matter whether you're a lion or a gazelle
when the sun comes up you'd better be running.
(But, unless you're a runner, you won't understand.)

I woke up this morning around 6 and drove of to the school to lift weights. After doing a full leg workout with some arm in there I felt pretty good. I am glad to lift weights it makes me feel stronger.

After school i had to work so after work i drove over to my friend house for him to ride his bike next to me while i run it is nice to have some company on the run. I did a quick 1 mile warm up then headed out on a run me and him do alot. It is a nice little run with some good hills and good down hills. I did a pretty good 7 miles at a 6:45 pace. It felt pretty good. I don't know i have been feeling really tired this week not fatigued just tired and my tendons behing my right knee are hurting a little. Its just slight though. They do that to me every so often though. I am still doing pretty good though.

Woke up this morning and drove over to the track. Started off with a 1mile warm up then did 3X1200's on the track. I kept them at or under 10:00 pace for a 3200 which is good considering my legs are really fatigued from last week. I didn't have to much of a kick because of the fatigue. I am taking it easy the rest of the week. Coach thinks that if i can keep it at that pace with tired legs i should have no problem of breaking 10:00 the first or second race. That is exciting. Did a 1 mile cool down to end morning.

Went after school and met the new distance coach Bill Jones. He was a pretty good runner in high school and will help me especially phychologicaly. Helped the coaches time some kids in are inter school meet. Kids are starting good for the year. after that went over to the center for a club run. It was only me Dustin, Bill, and Aaron. We did the Chuckawalla trail run then onto the parkway. Bill and Dustin turned back at 4 to do 8 and me and Aaron went on to do about 9.5 it was a good moderate pace run. Felt okay. Aaron had some stomach problems though which suck. Good luck at Del Sol everyone.

Ran after school track today. Did a 1 mile warm up then ran a good feeling 8 miler. It felt good and was a great day to run. Did a 1 mile cool down. After the run went and lifted a full body workout. I am pretty tired now and pretty fatigued from last week still. I am going to take the weekend off and go to a mini mtc. got close to 50 in thats okay.

Didn't get to run today, but man i can't wait to go on a LDS mission. I spent my whole day at a mini mtc today. It was a great fun and spiritual experience. I didn't get to run but its probably good since my legs are so fatigued. Didn't get 60 in so thats a bummer, but got close to 50 so its okay considering the fatigued legs this week. Hope to have a good week next week and a good race friday and saturday. Oh yea got some push ups and sit ups in today.
