Holy cow man I had an excellent workout tonight after working out yesterday and speed work. Today I just decided to do a good tempo run and it was. I did a 10.5 mile tempo run on a hilly course going up by Tuacahn and Snow Canyon Park. I thought I could be like Ryan Hall ha ha and felt like it doing a 10 mile tempo. I kept a 6:00 mile pace for 10.5 with a mild wind. Not bad.  My dad paced me along with his bike but i out ran him most of the time. I finished really really strong and am running really strong these days. Carl Wilcox better watch out ha ha. I brought a couple of miles down under 5 minutes, down hill but it felt good. I ran at about 7:00pm so it was dark but it got hot so I took off my shirt. Only in STG, thats right ha ha. Oh yea a 1 mile cool down too.

Woke up at about 5:30 this morning and headed over to the high school track. Ran a 1 mile warm up then followed that up with 12 flying 40's. This is were you sprint a 40 then run the rest of the lap at moderate pace. It was pretty chilly but I still managed a good workout. A little fatigued from the day before. Followed that up with a 1 mile cool down. Then after a long day at school ran a 6 mile recovery run. It was a pretty decent day and am feeling good. I hope I can get that 60 in for the week.  Oh yea I have changed my stride up a little and it seems to fit me better and I am moving in a more swift fluent way. I have tried it a week and am going to keep it this way since it is only a moderate change. Thats what you get from watching hours of running videos I guess. Did some jumproaping at night as well.

Tired so couldn't wake up this morning but. Ran after school. It was pretty chilly outside but I managed to pull out a good work out doing a 1 mile warm up and 5 recovery miles. Felt pretty good a little sore from weights, but doing good. Then at night I did 5 miles on the power bike and treadmill because I was to big of a sissy to go run out in the cold weather. Got my 10 miles in for the day though. Also did some arm and chest weights at night.

Woke up this morning at 5:30 and drove over to the school to lift weights. After having a good workout lifting legs I went over to the track and ran 2 miles on it. I did this so I can get used to running that 8 laps around the track again. After a good day at school I ran after school. first I did my usual 1 mile warm up and then got to work doing a track workout. This work out consisted of 3 X 1200's it was an okay workout a little fatigued. After the workout I ran a 4 mile trail run and got stuck in the mud now my new ds trainers are all muddy. Oh yea about 2.5 into the run I found a bench on the trail and took a little 15 minute nap it felt good.

Woke up about 6:00am and was way tired. But got out of bed and took a shower to loosen up and wake up for the 16 mile run with the running center guys and girls. So I drove over to Mike Warrens house and nice wife took us up to Utah hill. It was a cold one outside in my shorts but I was ready to run. So we took off down the hill heading back to Santa Clara for a 16 mile run. I started off great running in the 5:40 to 6:00 range on the mostly downhill run. I was really feeling good today and took off from the pack. I was running really swiftly and fluent and ready to knock this run out. It was a great run and ended up being 16.25 miles and I ran it at a good 6:09 average pace. The great thing was that when we all got back Mike's wife had some fresh fruit and cold water ready for us, it was great and hit the spot. Thank you Coleen. This was a great run on a great day and i was proud of my accomplishing my goal of keeping my pace around 6:00. Great job everyone for a great run.
